Yelapa lies on the southern shore of the Bay of Banderas, the west coast of Mexico, in the state of Jalisco. It is about 15 miles southwest of Puerto Vallarta, via boat (water taxi). This land is densely foliated from the seas to the mountains, boasting a wide range of tropical, flowering plants and trees, truly a nature lover's delight. It is rare to find a place of such age and tradition as accessible to outsiders. In Yelapa, the past and present merge. Participants of the classes will have each afternoon free to enjoy themselves in the warm sun of Mexico. Yelapa offers snorkeling, swimming, hiking and various excursions by boat to other beaches and islands.
